Maria J. Thietje

Maria ThietjeMaria (“Mari”) Thietje is an associate with the law firm of DeMars, Gordon, Olson, Zalewski, & Wynner.

Mari graduated summa cum laude from Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa, in 2006, with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on marketing.  Mari graduated from the University Of Nebraska College Of Law in 2009.  During law school, Mari was a member of the Student Bar Association, participated in the Delta Theta Phi Big Brothers Big Sisters program, and also was involved with the C.L.E.P. program.  Mari was the recipient of the 2008 CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Constitutional Law II.

Mari has practiced since 2009.  Her areas of practice include employment law, probate, juvenile law, child support and paternity.  Mari is also a certified Guardian Ad Litem.

Mari is a member of the Young Lawyers and Real Estate, Trust Law, and Probate sections of the Nebraska State Bar Association.  Mari is also a member of the Lincoln Bar Association and is co-chair of the 2011 Barrister’s Show.  She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Asian Community and Cultural Center. In her spare time, Mari enjoys running, cooking and scuba diving.
